FIFA 14 will be the last game released for PlayStation 2

FIFA 14 ends the story of the PS2

The PlayStation 2 will receive their final game in September this year, marking the end of a generation. The arrival of FIFA 14 will close with a golden key to success story. Sony had already ended production of the device around the world earlier this year, 13 years after its release.

Even in Japan, where the unit was still fairly popular and even appeared in the ranking of best-selling consoles in front of new competitors, such as the Xbox 360, it's still got some games lately. In March, the Japanese fans counted on an expansion of Final Fantasy XI Online.

Originally, the Sony promise of support to the PlayStation 2 for at least 10 years, something that was achieved in 2010. However, even after this date, the console had some outstanding titles launched, as Toy Story 3, The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest and Pro Evolution Soccer 2011.

To date, nearly four thousand titles were available on the PlayStation 2, making it one of the console with more games released worldwide, and ending his career with FIFA, a major brand in the gaming industry.
